it's now time to move on to a bigger sailboat, so I'm"reluctantly" selling my immaculate 1993 Sig 24....no major signs of any wear and tear inside and out. It has only 699 well maintained hours (as of this posting) on a 5.0 Volvo Penta DuoProp. Comes with Fishfinder and C160 GPS, 5 burgundy buoys and holders, newer head, remote radio, , COLD 12V/AC fridge, two Group 31 batteries and 1 Group 27, with new battery charger. There is also a 1993 customized 3 axle Shorelander heavy duty trailer for taking this boat all over Ontario and New York, as I have done for the past 5 years ;) (I've been offered $5000 for it already, so willing to sell boat separately). The Canvas is "mostly" original, but again in good shape as I NEVER leave it up unless I'm using it,and roll the windows up in sheets to protect them...as well, I've customized it somewhat with more Bimini out the back for more shade and protection that other Sig24's, and added new screens all around for summer comfort. It also comes with 2 tunnel covers..1 used for winter storage, and a NEW one for mooring that covers the windows as well. I personally use the winter one for trailering, but either will do. . I've also replaced the old metal holding tank with a new plastic one, as well as new water pumps for the system, which also has a 20 gal hot water tank, heated either electrically or from the running engine. Trim tab pistons rebuilt recently, and working flawlessly. It ALSO has a GREAT custom factory made 3' deep swim platform with ladder, which really changes the whole dimension and use of the boat. Bob Perry�s review says: �the L-26 is a successful attempt at combining boat speed with a very livable interior�. In reference to the �Klegecell� foam core sandwiched hull & deck he says: �It is rewarding to find a builder concerned with making his current yachts last rather than with the slightly higher cost of materials�. The �LINDY�s hull & deck are solid. Hull/keel sump joint professionally re-glassed around 2002 for $1500. Wetted surface has been epoxied with Interprotect 2000 & Anti-fouled with VC-17 (spiked). New Plexi windows & skylights. The old wood core sandwiched at window opening was stripped out and new ash epoxied in place and new custom interior molding/frames installed with windows to hide the screws from outside to make them strong & tight. New 3-piece Plexi washboards made at the same time. Head/Portipottie good - no leaks. (We've never used it & usually leave it off) No stove - removed & trim/molding installed around opening for a great spot to throw empty beer cans into while racing. Hull, deck & soles need paint & some re-finishing. Lazerette hatch needs re-glassing. Cushions need re-covering (or make all new). Mast stripped, wet sanded & polished including Rod Rigging. Boom left painted black. Hydraulic forestay system tight with new O-rings & gauge. New Jib Sheets, Spin Sheets, 3 Jib/Spin Halyards. (2009) Newer Plastimo Compass & Airmar Knotmeter with flapper. (2004) Newer Barient #21, 2-speed Genoa winches & 4 Lewmar halyard winches. Newer Spinnaker Pole. (2004) Motor: 8-HP Honda 4-cycle outboard with low hours & runs as new. Good, strong motor mount - easy to operate. Steel cradle with pads & bunks. Bunks added to distribute the load better & all are adjustable so you can easily get to work on the whole bottom. Racing sail inventory includes 3 Genoas: 155% AP (2008); 155% Lt (2009); 115% (2009); all of HPRL (High Performance Racing Laminate). 2 Spinnakers: AP of 0.6oz. Poly (2008); Light Runner of 0.5oz. We bought a Pearson 30 and are moored at G055 at ABYC, and we REALLY need help with her rigging!!! BIG TIME!! We are desperately seeking help with rigging her, as it is almost impossible to sail right now. No cunningham, no outhaul control. Main and Genoa halyards constantly overwrap on winches. Genoa Halyard still on mast. Just a pain!!!!! Also looking for Genoa Roller Furling and Lazy jacks for the main. Can come to boat anytime, anyday. 1966 Hinterhoeller built. New 3500# custom Trailer included. Nice Dacron Jib. Recent UK 180 Mylar, Recent Rolly Tasker Main. Spinnaker. Bags for each, nice but not ready to beat the class hot shots. I have not sailed this boat. I bought it last spring, built the trailer and towed it up from Maryland. It is is Cobourg, ON now(K9A 4J8). I have had a change of plans. Observations...needs Hull redone below waterline. Keel needs to be rebedded with the old wood keelstrap supports replaced with fibreglass. Needs a companionway hatch cover. Needs a lighter Lazerette cover(starboard now), needs the scabby old rudder stripped or replaced. Two inspection doors with lexan covers in each cockpit seat should be glassed in like original. It will be a great boat for someone and it's ready to be towed away. Will probably sail now with some 4200 smeared around the keel seam. Make me an offer, I want it gone. I was thinking $2000 for the boat and $2000 for the trailer...try your offer.

This is the foil size you need for boats up to around 30' and 1/4" max. forestay diameter. Note however, that the 7000 series is for a #5 luff tape (5/16" or 4mm).
