About ABYC
ABYC is a private, working sailing club located in Ashbridge's Bay on Lake Ontario, at the foot of Coxwell Avenue in Toronto, Ontario. We welcome sailors from all walks of life, from their pre-teens to their nineties.
ABYC was formed in 1932. We have very active racing and cruising programs as well as an excellent sailing school for children and adults. We have a fixed mark course on Lake Ontario for organized racing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during sailing season for both PHRF fleets (JAM and spinnaker) and one-design fleets. Wednesday evenings are devoted to dinghy racing. We also host and support local, national, and international regettas and sponsor weekend cruises to various other clubs on the Lake with which we enjoy reciprocal privileges.
We offer membership of various types. Senior members are entitled to have a boat at ABYC and have full membership privileges. Intermediate members and Dinghy members may store trailered boats and dinghies respectively. Associate members are entitled to use club facilities and may crew for senior members and participate in the ABYC Co-operative Sailing Program. Junior members may use Club facilities and may store a dinghy.
Our gas dock, accessible by water, is open to the public. Visiting sailboats may request dockage by calling in advance. For further information, explore our website or call us at 416-698-4498.
